Schools, districts, and integrators across the country use Zeptive sensors to cut vaping in their buildings. Here is what they report, in their own words, from public Google reviews.
Zeptive serves schools first, along with workplaces, public services, care providers, housing, hospitality, and the firms that sell and install security systems.
Public and private schools, districts, charter networks, career and technical centers, colleges, universities, and other education groups.
Offices, manufacturers, retailers, restaurants, contractors, and other private businesses that need coverage for shared spaces.
Security-product distributors, wholesalers, sourcing firms, and resellers that supply detection systems to their customers.
Security, fire, AV, electrical, low-voltage, cabling, and IT firms that install and set up systems for clients.
Youth bureaus, prevention groups, family centers, scouting groups, clubs, shelters, and other non-clinical community services.
Mental health centers, addiction treatment programs, psychiatric care sites, recovery programs, and behavioral health hospitals.
Counties, cities, towns, police and sheriff offices, courts, detention centers, transit authorities, tribes, and state departments.
Public, county, district, and institutional libraries, as well as library systems and consortia.
Hospitals, health systems, community and tribal health centers, primary care offices, dental practices, and other medical sites.
Apartment communities, senior and affordable housing, property managers, real estate holding firms, and individual rental homes.
Hotels, motels, resorts, casinos, lodges, and hospitality management firms.
Short-term and vacation rental properties that need a way to monitor spaces without cameras.
Five themes come up again and again across the reviews.
Vaping drops. Schools report a "significant drop" in vaping and vape-related discipline after installing the sensors. One admin says most alerts end with a confiscated vape pen. Another had a positive detection within two hours of plugging in a trial unit.
Detection is accurate. Reviewers call the alerts timely and precise, and note the sensors tell THC apart from nicotine. One vice principal: "10/10 times when it gives a vape detection, it is accurate."
Support answers fast. The most common theme of all. Reviewers name their reps, report same-day fixes, and say calls reach a person, not a phone tree. When one sensor failed on day one, Zeptive had a plan in place within 24 hours.
Setup is simple. Wireless units install fast with no wiring hassle. The app supports multiple users, alerts arrive with timestamps, and the backup battery lasts through a full summer break.
Customers come back. The strongest signal: schools that start with two units keep ordering more. Several reviewers expanded from one building to a second school, and many say they recommend Zeptive to nearby districts.
The honest note: results depend on the building. One reviewer in an older building with poor ventilation reported false positives. Zeptive support has tuned settings for others in tough spots — such as a vo-tech welding area — to bring false alarms down.
